Dr. Gabrielle Denize Newsam serves as the Medical Director of SouthLight Healthcare’s Opioid Treatment Program. Dr. Newsam has been providing care to those with opiate use disorder in outpatient treatment programs for over 10 years.  

She holds an Associate’s in Science and a Bachelor’s in Biology from City University of New York Medgar Evers College, a Bachelor’s in Sports and Health Science from American Military University, and a medical degree from Rutgers Medical School (formerly known as University of Medicine and Dentistry of New Jersey – New Jersey Medical School).

Dr. Newsam believes in treating the whole person; she helps her patients not only cope with their opiate use disorder, but also their medical conditions.
