Right now, hundreds of SouthLight clients face losing access to life-saving treatment.

For 55 years, SouthLight has served anyone who walks through our doors, regardless of their ability to pay. That promise is a lifeline for thousands of people struggling with addiction and mental illness.  

But new threats are emerging. Pending cuts to Medicaid eligibility and reimbursement rates could leave hundreds of SouthLight clients without access to care. And even for those who remain covered, Medicaid often doesn’t pay the full cost of treatment. 

Today, more than 2,000 people receive care at SouthLight each month—twice as many as just three years ago—thanks in part to Medicaid expansion in North Carolina. That progress is at risk. 

We don’t turn people away. But we can’t do this without you.

• $2,500 funds a month of group counseling for uninsured adults
• $1,000 covers a month of opioid treatment with medication and counseling
