Renee Ortiz is a community-focused leader with more than 20 years of experience in public administration, government affairs, nonprofit leadership, public policy, and community engagement. She serves as Senior Executive Assistant to the Chief Community Impact & Public Affairs Officer and Chief Lending Officer at Coastal Credit Union, where she supports strategic initiatives and community partnerships. 

Throughout her career, Renee has worked to expand opportunity and strengthen communities. Her experience includes leading initiatives focused on education, social justice, equity, and improving access to resources for communities facing the greatest barriers. 

Renee brings a longstanding commitment to service to her role on the SouthLight Healthcare Board of Directors. She believes in meeting people where they are, reducing barriers, and ensuring individuals and families have the resources and support they need to thrive. She is honored to contribute her experience in strategic leadership, community partnerships, and nonprofit and public-sector collaboration to SouthLight’s mission. 

Renee holds a Master of Arts in Human Resource Administration and a Bachelor of Arts in Political Science from Stony Brook University.
