As we step into 2026, I want to begin with a heartfelt thank you to each of you. Because of your support, SouthLight continues to be a trusted place of care, healing, and hope, particularly for those who are often underserved or overlooked. That impact matters, and it’s worth pausing to acknowledge how meaningful it truly is.

Looking ahead, 2026 will bring significant change across healthcare. With change comes uncertainty—but also opportunity. We’re entering a moment that invites deeper collaboration, innovative approaches to care, and continued growth as an organization. We will continue to lean into the principles of a Certified Community Behavioral Health Clinic, expanding access, strengthening coordination, and ensuring that anyone who needs care can find it with us.

This year will give us the chance to build on our strengths and extend our reach in ways that align with our mission. I am proud to move into this new year alongside you.

SouthLight Mobile: Bringing Hope and Healing on the Road

We are excited to announce that SouthLight will soon be expanding access to care with the launch of SouthLight Mobile. Our new, state-of-the-art mobile opioid treatment clinic will bring life-saving services directly into Wake County communities, providing Medication-Assisted Treatment (MAT), counseling, and support to individuals who face barriers such as transportation or stigma when seeking treatment.

Supported by Wake County Opioid Settlement Funds, SouthLight Mobile reflects our mission to meet people where they are with compassion, dignity, and evidence-based care. As a nonprofit behavioral health organization, we connect individuals not only to treatment but to ongoing recovery support and a community of care.

“SouthLight Mobile allows us to bring life-changing treatment directly to the people who need it most,” says Adam Hartzell, CEO. “It’s about connecting them to hope and healing.”
