A Spring Gathering at SouthLight
It was an honor to host Wellness Within Reach: A Spring Gathering recently at the SouthLight Raleigh Hub. The event brought together donors and partners from across our community for an inside look at the work happening every day to expand access to mental health and substance use treatment.
Guests toured our renovated flagship location, connected with staff, and experienced firsthand how our space is designed to support healing, connection, and recovery. They also viewed SouthLight’s new Mobile Clinic, watched our mission video, and even rolled up their sleeves to give back, packing more than 100 snack bags for clients in need.
During the program, CEO Adam Hartzell, and Chief Medical Officer Dr. Letitia Hazel shared powerful reflections on the impact SouthLight is making across our community, as well as the challenges and opportunities ahead in expanding access to care.

“When people who care come together, they create real change—proving that anything is possible for those we serve at SouthLight.” —Adam Hartzell, CEO
We are deeply grateful for those who continue to invest in our mission, helping us restore lives, renew hope, and build a stronger, more resilient community.

The state’s Law Enforcement Assisted Diversion (LEAD) program is growing to serve additional communities, and SouthLight Fayetteville looks forward to serving as a trusted referral partner for individuals experiencing addiction as they’re connected with the care and support they need to achieve lasting recovery.
“The partnership between SouthLight and the Fayetteville LEAD program reflects a powerful shift in approach, one that prioritizes treating the individual and recognizes that lasting impact comes from caring for the whole person, not just addressing the habit,” says Ray Inge, Veteran Peer Support Specialist at SouthLight Fayetteville.
